Portola Vertical Wall Bed
The Portola is one of our most popular Murphy beds. Its design is both bold and subtle, traditional yet fits well with modern décor. It comes in both queen and full sizes, and looks great with either same height or stepped down side pier cabinets. It uses the panel foot system for latching the bed when closed and supporting the bed when open. It's available in a number of different finishes and hardware options, and can be combined with a wide variety of side cabinetry and desk options.

Optional Cabinets
For extra storage, choose from a wide selection of matching cabinets. All cabinets can be ordered with any of the stain finishes, or white or black paint (8% upcharge). Our cabinets feature durable wood construction with fine birch veneer panels and solid beech trims, full extension drawer glides, adjustable shelves, and cord management ports on all pier cabinets. There are several types of cabinets that we explain below:

Bookcase cabinets have one fixed shelf and 3 or 4 adjustable shelves.
Door Cabinets have a door over the bottom section and upper adjustable shelves.
Drawer cabinets have three drawers below and adjustable shelves above.
Nightstand pier cabinets feature two drawers, a pullout tray table, and upper adjustable shelves. A variation on this also has a partial door over the top section.
Lateral file pier cabinets have two lateral file drawers, a pencil drawer, and upper adjustable shelves.
The Wardrobe Pier Cabinet offers both a place to hang your clothes and three generous sized drawers for additional storage. We include an additional shelf should you want to outfit your wardrobe for shelf storage instead of hanging space. The wardrobe is available in the 90" height and the 85" height depending on which size bed you order and whether you want it to line up or step down from the queen height wallbed.
Peninsula Desk is a 83" long stay-in-place desk that extends out from a pier cabinet on either side of the bed cabinet. It includes three pieces: the desk top, a 24" lateral file drawer cabinet, and a door pier cabinet. These three are priced and ordered together. The schematic and an example of the peninsula desk system are shown below.
The Rolling Desk Cart is a great addition to your Murphy bed. It's on rollers so that it can be moved anywhere in the room. It can be purchased with a rolling file cabinet which slips under the desk. The desktop is 65" long and 24" deep.
The Murphy Pier Desk is available to match any of our wallbed designs. It opens to a 48" long desktop and locks up and out of the way when you need to access the bed. Behind the bottom door is another adjustable shelf for additional storage.
